Another week, another post about a most sumptuous brunch! This past week, we veered off our usual locations and went into the suburbs of Karen to check out what Brioche Cafe-Bistro had to offer for Sunday Brunch. Lemme just say this now – we were not disappointed…
It’s just about one month to the end of 2017. Imagine. I don’t know why I find that insane but I do – November kinda just creeped up on us. October seemed like it would last forever no? I happened to have an off-day (thank you President Kenyatta for that) and decided to use it to take some stock of this past month with y’all.
The addictive smell of bacon and fried chicken wafting in from the kitchen was a clear indication of what more tasty treats were to come. Feast your eyes below…
It’s about that time again. I haven’t done a taking stock post all year! Can you believe that? Sigh, this blog reboot was clearly much needed. So much to take stock of these past few months, I’ll just combine it all into one post.
My love for a good brunch sparked a great idea in my head – why not do reviews – particular to brunch only? I spend so much time planning brunches and looking for the next best brunch spot that it only made sense to start doing write-ups of the places and give credit where it’s due and constructive criticism also where it’s due. And what better way to start off this series than to highlight the best brunch I’ve had so far in 2017 i.e. at Brew Bistro, Nairobi.
Two posts in less than a week?? I did promise y’all I would be more focused now so yay:) I came across a blogging challenge on twitter from the @AfroBloggers account. 30 days, 30 different topics to cover to help one either start a blog or in my case – restart blogging and I decided to do it in a different way. Instead of prolonging the actual writing process I intend on doing by rolling out 30 posts throughout this month on the prompts given on the challenge… I’ll cover those prompts here, summarize a bit so it’s not an entire novel and get both of us reacquainted with each other in half the time! I hear cheers in the imaginary crowd in my head so I’ll just go ahead and start.
It’s the last month of summer and I already want to be back in June and start it all over again! Time sure does fly when you’re having fun and that’s exactly what I have been doing since being done with school last month.
2016. Another year, another chance at starting afresh… New year, new me and all that Jazz. Well, for me this new year doesn’t feel new at all. Just feels like we moved on to a new month as we always do. The only thing that makes me feel like this is actually a new year is the fact that it is my birthday month, so with a new year, always comes the reminder that I’m about to turn a year older – yet again. As if I was meant to stop getting older at some point haha…
So I just realized for someone who writes so much about travel, I’ve never really shared my travel bucketlist on this blog! I have it written down on my journal and came across it today; five years later… Decided it would be great to share my ambitious goal of visiting an insane number of countries (read every single continent) with you all. Who knows, some of you may want to join me on my #traveltheworldmission.
This past weekend, University of Westminster held a conference on African Film and Social Change at their Maryleborne Campus.
