Major apologies for the delay of this post – I really don’t have anything else to say other than I’m sorry but better late than never right??
2017 was quite a challenging year I must say. Financially, physically, emotionally – all of it. But, as we always do, we got through it, I particularly ended it on a high which I’ve taken as the progressing mood for 2018, positive vibes all round.
With spring in full bloom and the sun gracing us with her presence almost daily, an afternoon outdoors was long overdue.
As unplanned as this trip to Kew Gardens was, I’m glad my friend Yuqi convinced me to join her. The Royal botanical gardens are a perfect example of what happens when you take super great care of fresh grass, indigenous plants, flowers and aquatic life – a whole ecosystem is born and thrives, gifting us its natural, effervescent beauty.
Hello good people!
Hope the month of May is treating you as well as it is me. I recently came back from a nice little weekend in Paris and all I kept thinking on the way back was I wish I had more time there! Paris is a beautiful city and three days is not enough time to really get a feel of it.
So school’s out for a few weeks and with so much free time on my hands what else is there to do but explore London for the great city that it is right? Only problem is, finding exciting stuff to do here can rack up quite a dent in your bank account if you are not careful. My tip to any newbie in London would be to find events/activities that cost 10£ and below, to partake in. Most of them turn out to be free/cheaper if you go in a group or sign up early.
My friend Jordaania found this amazing website called Funzing that curates a whole bunch of unique and fun events and experiences to do in London. The first event we signed up for was a street art tour of east London. I had been there a month ago on assignment and I absolutely loved the eclecticism of the place so was really glad to get an opportunity to go back and explore it better.
London is a city rich in history, in culture and also rich in art. Galleries and museums are a dime a dozen in various parts of the city and the exhibitions showcased at some of these places are not to be missed. One such gallery is Sotheby’s.
Three more days till 2016!! Can you smell January already? So ready for another year filled with promise and opportunity, 2015 imma let you finish but 2016 is probably going to be the best year I’ll have… Just putting it out there.
Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland was my home for the weekend and what a weekend it was.
